BOGI,lightening up the coming days.



PONGAl is the true festival for Indians, as it comes in the harvest season. People enjoy this festival without any discriminations among them. The festival celebrations starts before a month. It is mainly celebrated in three enjoyable days. The first day is 'BOGI,the fire festival' which you are seeing in the above snaps.

BOGI festival comes in January most probably in the dates of 13 or 14th according to the Indian calender. People woke up in the early morning and starts this festival celebrations with fire in their courtyard. Indians beleive that all the bad that has happened because of them and all the bad that is going to happen to them will be extinguished in the fire and wish for a brand new year of happiness.
