Nature Places Talakona, earthly heaven

Talakona, earthly heaven

We have planned for a environmental tour on 5th of this month. Firstly it was a doubt whether all our classmates will accept the tour or not but later it was solved with a positive solution. As a organizer my inner intention was different that is about the money. Each student would be battered with unexpected amount of money per head if any one them drops the tour. Finally more than expected decided to come to tour. I was really happy with that and money from each head had also been collected. We made a contract with the travel agents and every thing was ready for tour. Days gone and Saturday came with a feel of joy and zeal. Every class for us seemed to be boring all the day as we are starting from here at night. The evening came and all the announcements were made before we leave the college. Precautions and necessary advices were taken from our higher authorities.
According to our schedule bus would be started from our town at 9:00 in the evening and picks up the hostlers at our college in the way. We organizers moved out from homes at earlier as to look after all the arrangements at bus stop. All our classmates as well as faculty reached the bus stop  one after the another  slowly at 9:30, there we came to know that the bus had just started from ongole and it’s being 15 minutes since it started. We waited for an hour, it seemed bad to me to make the parents of lady’s of our class to be waited. At last after an hour our bus came and we felt boosted up after seeing it. We took all our accessories and started from here, kavali at almost 10:30 at night. We reached our college at 11:00, all our friends and staff get on the bus. We have started from college after 11:00. This was  the bus in which we travelled..

We enjoyed all the night in the bus with music and dance, some of us including me slide into sleep and after an hour we were awaken. It was very cold in that hilly region
and we couldn’t open windows beside our seats from the running bus. Meanwhile we reached Tirupathi at exactly 4:00 in the morning, there we had our refreshments at ‘Srinivasa  pilgrims amenities complex’ which is a free of cost for use complex.

After all of us made our refreshments we seek permission from the concerned responsible staff for a tea break for ten minutes. We had to cross the road to reach the near by tea shop. All of us moved to the other side of the road and remained there itself as I have no habit of tea. There at the divider I saw a old woman making fire with useless paper made boxes. I went to her and had some warmth at her fire. She was very generous and pleased to share her fire with us. I asked about her, she said that she was the native of the city and flowers selling on the road side is her only livelihood. I was thankful to her and meanwhile my friends had their bodies warmth by having hot tea. We returned to our bus and we have started to Talakona.
We get bored of the two hour uphill slow drive, but enjoyed the journey through those forest hills. For the first time in my life I saw the sunrise from the hills, I hardly remember I used to paint that scenery at earlier age in my life. Later after almost one hour journey we reached the village ‘Bakrapet’. It was not fully developed village but has the essential things to a man to live in. What’s the interesting thing I have noticed all the way my journey is even a small village without a street lamp had a belt shop. It made me little bit upset and I continued my journey thinking of the taking away the belt shops from all of the Indian poor villages.

We have bought some sweets and pakoda and moved from there. All of us were astonished to see the hilly, cool, pleasant region. We are just enjoying the tour on our own ways. After another forty-five minute journey we have reached Talakona, the earthly heaven. We had to walk about 4 kilometers to waterfall area  from where we stopped our bus. The trees were so long and it was a different experience  being there.

There was a big banyan tree with a god & goddess idols seemed to be worshipped daily. For the people living there it was a holy mother that takes best care of them at every bad part of time. Look at the snap and you’ll agree with me.

Everyone was hungry and we decided to  start our walking journey after breakfast. Bus management workers started their preparations for cooking. Meanwhile we walked into the dense forest for a while and felt like living there forever. It was such beautiful and really awesome to watch the small canals flowing from the rising sun. We were called for breakfast after half an hour. We finished our breakfast with a excitement that we are going to see the Talakona waterfall in a few minutes. Everyone was okay with the breakfast and get ready for long hill climb walk. Everything was ok, but I was worried about the monkeys there. I was frightened and took my bag and hanged it across my chest as a precautionary measure and headed to waterfall way. There I saw rare species of trees with their names hanged to their stems. I felt helpless for them and most of them are near extinction stage.

there I saw a old creeper tree aged almost three decades and the wonder is that it is spread over five kilometers in that forest. The way to talakona waterfall was fenced with iron and monkeys were playing on it all the way. We all are held long sticks for protection from monkeys all the way we moved up the hill. It was a adventurous walk up the hill, Sometimes I feel like making an adventure program in the discovery channel. Finally after a one and half kilometer walk up the hill we reached the waterfall and I couldn’t believe my eyes, It was fantastic scene looking at the waterfall. All our classmates had a icy cold bath under the waterfall but I stayed at a distance because I wasn't interested in bathing under waterfall. I was very much interested capturing the beauties of talakona with my camera.

We enjoyed very well there and in the return we got upset with some of my classmates who fell sick after bathing under waterfall. Some of them recovered soon but situation of one of them went really worst. With the help of the other visitors our responsible staff were successful in bringing back her. She also recovered soon within an hour. We had our lunch at 1:00 at the noon and returned. In the way back home we visited zoo and we came back to our enjoying mood after watching the animals in it.

We had our evening supper at 6;30 in the evening on the roadside outside the zoo which was arranged by the bus management. We had a nice relaxing time there with one another. We started to return at almost 7:30 in the evening. Of course it was a one day journey in which we don’t had much time to visit new places but we got to know each other very well and we are heartily close to each other better than once. The visit to Talakona is really a unforgettable happy moment in our lives that can’t be felt again the feel of being there when gone with anyone else friends.
